Jammu, Aug 23 (KNO): After six back-to-back unsuccessful attempts, Jammu’s lad has successfully cracked Union Territory’s level Civil Services Examination, the results of which were declared yesterday.
As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), with persistent hard work and determination, Jammu’s Rajat Sambyal has achieved his dream of becoming a civil servant by cracking the prestigious Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Examination (JKCSE) with 64th rank.
Rajat Sambyal figured in the final list of qualifiers, among 218 aspirants, however, his entry in the club remains special due to his upright attitude and handwork despite countless failures.
“Shoot for landing on the moon. Even if you miss, you'll be placed in orbit. Then launch another landing with more strength, fuel, technology, and will power. Keep trying for Chandrayaan, Aditya L1, etc. for the greater good of all. Finally, I have cleared JKPSC CSE, 2022 with rank 64,” Rajat Sambyal wrote on micro blogging site X, formally known as twitter.
Sambyal got many congratulatory messages from senior bureaucrats across the country including Managing Director Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited, Shiv Anant Tayal, Secretary to Government Tribal Affairs Department, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, JKAS Arun Manhas and others.
Earlier, Rajat Sambyal became an internet sensation after results of prestigious UPSC civil services examinations 2021 were declared on May 30, 2022.
Sambyal invested 10 years of his life to crack civil services examination as he earlier made six unsuccessful attempts and also missed his last try by 11 marks only.
“I succumbed due to a low score in the interview,” Sambyal said, who took to micro-blogging platform to share his UPSC journey. “10 years of hard work ended in ashes," the aspirant tweeted.
Sambyal revealed that he gave six attempts, out of which he failed three times in prelims and two times during mains.
“10 years of hard work ended in ashes. 6 UPSC attempts over. 3 times prelims failed. 2 times mains failed. In my last attempt, yesterday I succumbed due to a low score in an interview. Missed by 11 marks," he wrote after 2022 results, adding that despite this, he still rises—(KNO)
